Two Different Services

ProCompounding offers two distinct ivermectin-related services. Understanding the difference helps you choose the right option for your needs. Both are prepared in our PCAB-accredited 503A pharmacy in Johnson City, Tennessee, and in both, a licensed professional decides whether it is appropriate for you before anything is dispensed.

First, What Ivermectin Is

Ivermectin is an antiparasitic medication. We prepare it as a compounded tablet for people, made to order for each patient.

It is worth saying plainly: products labeled for livestock or horses are formulated for animals and are not intended for human use. Their concentrations and inactive ingredients differ from human preparations. If you are considering ivermectin, work with a licensed pharmacist or prescriber and a licensed pharmacy.

Standalone Ivermectin (Collaborative Practice Agreement)

This service provides ivermectin on its own, authorized under Tennessee's collaborative practice agreement (TN Code § 63-10-224):

• How it works: You fill out our HIPAA-compliant form and a licensed ProCompounding pharmacist reviews your request
• Who authorizes it: Our pharmacist, under the collaborative practice agreement — there is no separate prescriber visit
• What you receive: Ivermectin on its own, at the strength and quantity the reviewing pharmacist determines is appropriate for you
• Payment: Cash-pay, with shipping or in-store pickup

What the pharmacist review involves

1. You complete a secure form with a few health questions.
2. A licensed Tennessee pharmacist reviews your information under our collaborative practice agreement.
3. If it is appropriate, your ivermectin is prepared in our PCAB-accredited pharmacy.
4. It is shipped to you, or ready for pickup at our pharmacy in Johnson City.

Not every request is approved. If the pharmacist decides it is not a good fit, you will be notified and can discuss other options with your healthcare provider.

Where this route applies

The collaborative practice agreement is Tennessee law, so this route is for patients in Tennessee. Outside Tennessee, ivermectin requires a prescription from your own licensed prescriber, who can send it to us. Parasite Cleanse Program (Telehealth Prescriber Consult)

This program combines two medications, prescribed through a telehealth consultation:

• How it works: You consult a telehealth prescriber, who decides whether the program is appropriate for you
• Who authorizes it: The telehealth prescriber, not our pharmacist
• What you receive: Ivermectin and mebendazole, at the strengths your prescriber specifies
• Structure: A multi-medication program rather than a single short course — your prescriber sets the schedule and how long it runs

What the consultation involves

You start with a secure health questionnaire. A licensed prescriber reviews it and decides whether the program is appropriate for you. If it is, the prescription comes to us and we prepare both medications. The prescriber consultation is billed separately from the medications, which you pay the pharmacy for, and the medications can be picked up or shipped.

Because two medications are involved, tell your prescriber about everything else you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and supplements. Which Should You Choose?

The practical differences are who authorizes the prescription, how many medications are involved, and how long you will be taking them. That decision belongs to the pharmacist or prescriber reviewing your case, not to a web page.
