    WHAT IT IS

    A prescription cream,
    prepared to order.

If you would like to raise it with your prescriber, our guide on how to ask your doctor about compounded medication can help you start that conversation.

A 2020 change in federal law ended over-the-counter sales of hydroquinone skin products. Hydroquinone is still available with a prescription, and a compounding pharmacy can prepare it as a cream at the strength the prescriber writes.

Prescribers can write hydroquinone on its own, or combine it with tretinoin and hydrocortisone in a single cream, so a patient is applying one preparation instead of three. Our page on compounded tretinoin creamcovers the tretinoin combinations we prepare.

How long to use it, how often, and where, are decisions for you and your prescriber. Your label carries the directions they set, and if they change the prescription, we prepare the new one to match.

Can I still buy hydroquinone over the counter?

No. Over-the-counter hydroquinone skin products can no longer be sold in the United States following a 2020 change in federal law. Hydroquinone is available with a prescription, and we compound it when your prescriber writes for it.

Can a telehealth provider prescribe hydroquinone cream?

Yes. A licensed prescriber, including one you see by telehealth, can send us a prescription. Your prescriber decides whether it is right for you and at what strength. We do not prescribe; we prepare what your prescriber orders.

Can hydroquinone be combined with tretinoin?

Yes. Prescribers often write hydroquinone with tretinoin and hydrocortisone in one cream. Each cream is prepared at the strengths on the prescription.

What if my prescriber changes the prescription?

Your prescriber sends the new prescription and we prepare the cream to match it. Your label carries the updated directions.

Can you ship to my state, and how long does it take?

We are licensed in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. We have a 48-hour compounding time on most preparations. Shipping time is additional and varies by destination. A member of our team confirms the price with you before anything is processed, made, or shipped.
